Discharge Instructions

On Leaving Mogo Day Surgery

Prior to your discharge from the Mogo Day Surgery you will be provided with a report regarding the procedure and full instructions for aftercare and any medications that will be required.  If you have any questions or concerns following your procedure please contact your referring Doctor or the Day Surgery immediately.  In case of emergencies please seek advice at the nearest Accident and Emergency Department.

Do not forget, in the first 24 hours after an anaesthetic / sedation do not drive a car or operate machinery.  Do not have a heavy meal, drink alcohol, conduct important business or sign any legal documents.

On leaving the Day Surgery after having an anaesthetic / sedation you must be accompanied by a responsible adult, do not drive or travel alone.  If you have a problem arranging a lift advise the staff at the Day Surgery, they will be happy to assist.

If you experience any difficulty after arriving at home please do not hesitate to contact us on the numbers provided to you on the discharge information.  Should you have difficulties out of hours, contact your nearest Accident and Emergency Department.
